Dare to Explore with Manyama Tours Ltd
Susann Luening is a German paramedic who came to Tanzania as a tourist to realize her childhood dream of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and immediately fell in love with the country of Tanzania and its people, then she became one of the supporters of Manyama Tours Company Ltd for better working conditions to the employees and the development of the company of Manyama Tours Ltd, example by covering the cost of tetanus vaccination since almost nobody hasn’t health insurance, etc.Â
Why we want to be your tour operator
Christopher Julius Maligeri is a Tanzanian local born in the zone of Serengeti,, his roots are also based on living in nature. Nowadays he lives in Arusha due to a tourism based center where he found Emillian Ernest Manyama with both interested in the same idea and became a Tour operator in Manyama Tours Company Ltd. Coming from an upbringing based on nature and completing a wildlife study, he knows a lot of nature and animals, his passionate about the behavioral changes of animals and loves to figure out how they work together and interdependent. He has enough experience in the safari fields for over 10 years working as a tour guide safari driver and mountain guide.
Â
I, Susann the tourist, immediately fell in love with Tanzania and it’s people. This vacation absolutely changed my life and I would love to give you the possibility to make this incredible experience by yourself. When I got to know Emillian, I found a professional partner, who helped me realize this dream. Let yourself be enchanted by the incomparable wildlife on our safaris or grow beyond yourself by climbing the Roof of Africa: Mount Kilimanjaro. Whatever adventure you are looking for, we want to make it possible for you, while at the same time providing fair working conditions for our employees.
Unlike other companies, we recommend tipping 25 USD per day for the Guide, 20 USD per day for the Cook, and 15 USD per one porter per day. These workers receive a very low salary, and some companies don’t even pay this!Â
The pay of the workers depends almost entirely on tips from the guests. It also makes the relationship between the guests and guides/porters are rather awkward since there is a natural pressure to beg for tips. Also, the tips can vary a lot, so the workers can never be sure how much they will earn. To make sure that our employees get properly paid, we at Manyama Tours decided to pay our employees a good and fair salary. And we ask that you tip them appropriately. Due to the tax law in force in Tanzania, it is unfortunately much too expensive for you, the tourist, to include the tip in the total price for the trip you have chosen.
Our employees are well-trained, professional, and do a great job! You can enjoy your holiday to the fullest with a clear conscience because you are helping to stop the exploitation of tour industry workers. So if you choose Manyama Tours, this holiday will not only have a positive impact on your life, but also that of our employees and their families. Thanks a lot for this. With your help, we are going to reform the Tanzanian tourism industry, one unforgettable trip at a time!
